This is “you” time!
You give and give and give to others – maybe even feeling depleted from all your giving.
Well, when you enter this office, it’s time for you to do “you.”
What is your weary soul crying out for today?
Let’s find out and take good care of you.
Walking through the door of my office…
You’ll experience a calm, quiet environment where you can gather your thoughts without high pressure or overwhelming expectations.
The office, itself, emphasizes the blues and greens of the sky and the ocean – just being present in this peaceful setting begins the calming process for you… BREATHE…
I will greet you eagerly, ready to hear your story.
I’m primed to meet you wherever you are in your life journey – to listen, understand, and encourage… and to offer hope AND practical solutions.
We will investigate your mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual world to discover where things may have gotten out of balance for you… and find REAL ways to help you experience joy in your life journey.
This is time that we’ll make for you…
My purpose is to serve and support you… and to provide help and hope for you in a calm, peaceful environment.
Here, you’ll have an opportunity to breathe freely – to share your burdens and concerns with no fear of judgment.
In addition to space and time, I’ll provide you with skills and strategies that fit you: your situation, your circumstances, and your relationships.
Invest in you…
Starting now.
Call or text me today at (903) 472-6461 to set up an initial consultation. I look forward to hearing from you!
About Me
I am passionate about my mission and calling…
The mental and emotional anguish that so many individuals endure is often private; people don’t expect others to have time for them… for their “little” problems (even those who are closest to them).
I’m privileged to be able to relieve human suffering.
My work as a counselor allows me to help individuals reach deep down into themselves to discover the strengths, abilities, and gifts each has, and to use those for the greater good of personal relationships and humanity.
I help people find solutions, discover alternatives, enhance possibilities that they had not seen in themselves.
My road to this work…
I worked as an educator for many years and became keenly aware of the need for personal counseling for so many: children, their parents, tweens, teens, and adults of all ages. So, I returned to school so that I could work exclusively in a private counseling setting.
My experiences as an educator have given me a unique perspective of what’s not working in relationships, especially in families. I am grateful to share solutions that bring back the vibrant relationships that give a home “life”!
I most recently graduated from East Texas Baptist University with a Masters in Counseling. Prior degrees (BA and MA) are from Louisiana Tech University in Elementary Education/Library Science and School Counseling, respectively. I am licensed to practice as an LPC in the State of Texas, license #77764.
When I’m not doing therapy…
I am very committed to my own family: my husband, C.J., our two married adult children, their spouses, and our four delightful grandchildren are among the most wonderful blessings of my life.
I love Bible study, reading, being outdoors, running/walking, bird-watching, and gardening. I love being outdoors so much that I write children’s books with the hope that they will be encouraged to notice and appreciate the wonder of our amazing world!
